WHY CALIFORNIANS FOR ESSENTIAL HOUSING EXISTS

With prices continuing to rise in California, the housing market has become increasingly competitive and difficult to navigate. When looking for a home that offers comfort, safety, and convenience, it can be seemingly impossible to find.

In the last few years, initiatives have been introduced to increase housing availability to middle class, also called moderate income, households. The housing initiatives, referred to as Essential Housing, creates rent discounts and regulated rent increases so that we have an opportunity to create stability and live in the communities we serve.

Without the contiuance of these programs, California's housing crisis will only worsen. We need expansion of housing initiatives, not further restriction. 

As Californians, we believe it is our duty to stand together and make our voices heard.

We need housing we can afford, we need Essential Housing.
